Our beliefs
What we Believe
We believe the word of God is the Truth and requires no update or adjustments.
We know everything invisible and visible are created by the word of God. We know the word was inspired by God and is profitable for doctrine, for reroof, for correction and for training in righteousness.
It is through the spectacle of the scripture every genuine believer must be able to see. We believe the Bible is the word of God and both old and new must be obeyed. ( 2 Tim. 3:16-17, Joshua 1:8)
We believe Christianity is a relationship not a religion. It is a relationship between the King and His kings. It must be valued by principle, upkeep by holiness, accepted by faith and pursuit with eternal rewards at heart. We are required to live consistent to the precept of this kingdom.
This is by absolute trust in our Lord Jesus Christ and we will pursue this until we see Him in glory.
Leadership (Acts 10:48, Acts 8:5-8, Gen 39:4-5)
We understand leadership is the ability to influence with your presence in place, with your position and in people’s lives. As we have been instructed by God to make disciples of all nations (Mathew 28:19-20). Our leadership principle is based on building, empowering and equipping people for kingdom exploits and harvest.
This will be based on this guiding Principle of DISCIPLE
1 Corinthians 9:27, Psalm 119:11
Discipline makes your life simple. It gives you the caution, the culture and the concentration that will reflect your dedication. A genuine disciple must exhibit self- control in all things. We must ensure we play it by the rule of the game. A genuine disciple knows without discipline discipleship will be unachievable. Destiny decades when discipline declines
Philippians 1:21, Romans 12:2
Careless and reckless living is not a genuine reflection of a man that has found God. To live for God, you need unbendable determination. This will only allow you to live for His purpose, plans and your pursuit would solely be to please Him at all times.
Heb. 12:28-29, Romans 12:1-2
We lead by example. Service grants you the possibilities of encountering God. We know through diligent and above board service to God at our various workplaces and in our community, we will preach Christ and we can be studied like an epistle. It is very important to serve diligently, acceptably and wholeheartedly. It must not be a lip-service, eye-service or half-baked service to God.
Mathew 11:29, Romans 13:14
Our character must be consistent with that of our savior. We will showcase this by living with the consciousness of divine nature that is in us. We must carry the kingdom emblem with no iota of character deficiencies all across our city and its environs. Men must be able to see that we have been with Jesus with the fruit of the kingdom we produce.
Mathew 5:13-16, Mathew 13:33
We recognize our significance as salt and light. Our presence in our locality must preserve the decadence in our city. We must hoist the banner of the kingdom with fear and trembling so that darkness would not have any abode with the light of God in our lives. We are like yeast in a dough; we are not just here, we are here to influence the land for God spiritually, physically, mentally and financially.
James 1:22-24, Psalm 119:9
Our knowledge of the word must not just be on our lips, it must be seen in our lives and deeds. Our decision to live by the word of God would remain uncompromisable. The word of God shall continually be the mirror at which we see and live. We will not negotiate or debate on the possibilities of its adherence regardless of the condition or situation we find ourselves in.
Acts 4:13, 1 John 1:1-2
The beauty of discipleship is to reflect the traits of the kingdom of God. As the word of God dwells in us richly, we want to be able to reflect the possibilities entrapped in the word of God. We understand it is for our profiting and it is essential for men to see how the word of God beautifies, purifies and dignifies our lives.
Mathew 7:13-14
The most significant part of discipleship is eternity. We are eternity- focused and driven. We understand the danger of this age and with its attractive, compulsive and destructive tendencies. We know until we see Him in glory, we can not let down our guard or shift our ground. We are instructed to preach the word of God in seasons and out of seasons until the fragrance of the good news covers the whole earth.
Prayer ( John 14:13, Mathew 21:22, Psalm 34:6)
Baptism (Mathew 28:19-20, John 3:5, Luke 3:21-22)
We believe in baptism by immersion. It is a symbol of complete submission and acknowledgement of the Lordship of Jesus over one’s life. It is a public expression of one’s intention to continually live for God. It shows you are dead to the old life and risen with Him into life of absolute dominion over the devil and his cohorts.
We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. ( Acts 19: 5-6). As the disciples were promised on the day of Pentecost, so is his potency and relevance till today. This baptism empowers us to live and work for God. The Holy Ghost is our comforter, standby and the most busy executive agent on earth. Thorough partnership makes effective and efficient life and ministry possible.( Acts 1:8)
